A human target
Painting belvedere arches
I reached a catharsis
Now I glow in the darkness

There's something lying beneath

I await grinning my teeth
You don't want to believe

To what's above us
You won't like what looks back down
Even though it's obvious
We'll have to find some other way around

Lying on my back
Deep in rem
Sleeping insomniac
Frozen in place
Unable to react
Paralyzed, half-awake

Overcome with fear
From celestial frontiers
My body separates
Itself from my head
Count backwards from ten
I don't know where I went

Searching for first contact in the middle of space
Traveling through astral planes
There's so much happening that I can't explain
The universe
Has made my dreams converge
With reality, I realize

It's here on Earth
Bending spoons until they're broken
I can stop the search
I won't be woken up

To what's above us
You won't like what looks back down
Even though it's obvious
We'll have to find some other way around
