flickering lights
as the movie rolls
camera's flash and the t.v. man asks
where'd you buy your clothes bro.

in need of no introduction you have got the charm
so briskly the head tilts back you've heard this all before
to see a light in eyes your spell is set on course
so free you wish to be no rose bows at your feet

a closet bear with me the situation is unkind
too ugly no fondness growing strongly tired
my back hurts i'm burdened throw me in the fire
save me i have become all i've despised
burn me i am laying on my altar broken
drown me sinking i can swim no further
save me from myself

distance myself from shrouds of dark that long for gripping me
and this my grave a death to bring my life to be
and i would pen the words if i could write the things my mind would say
