100 Headed Hydra Headache

An old man's tale reads
There's a gem beneath the mountain
That will grant power to one

As I leave this town for good I feel a better sense of direction
this single thing is all I need to feel like I have meaning

Now I can't let this go
We've been buried by the lies of the ignorant

Scared for my life as "These Demons"
chase after me like I'm they're only enemy, why?
The Possession from the Hydra!
They do what they're told
Seeking command from Unholy Hydra

Believe it, I've seen it, you really don't need it!
this power is a Myth how could I not feel it?

Why would you sacrifice everything you've done for power?
Rotten on the inside out
just the thought of power corrupts minds

But then again I've never seen a vision oh so clear
It went rotting away when I thought this could change it all
My life is spiraling down a hole
still searching endlessly

Searching for a power that doesn't exist
leave it to me oh I couldn't resist
"These Demons" take me and rearrange me into "The Creature"
