Insurrection

And oh the shepard who controls the flock has been slain
the keeper of the flock gone for good cursing the sheep
for they are the blind
And only by a misplaced faith will they find brighter pastures

So dark the road
treacherous is what lies ahead
yet an unwanted exodus
is all that remains

Fly to safety sheep
no longer are you protected
Fly to new lands herd
for now is the time for all things to change

drifting and roaming
the sheep are lost and can't find their way
pioneering
to lands that are not known to exist

The lay of this new olden earth is foreign
a torture to those without sight
for if they knew what it really was
they would run away, but they know not their plight
cast into they newest of hells
obtained by being the dumb
the travel is in vain

Rise o ye of wrong faith
you never knew that this time was the last for men
and in your arrogance you find
the truth is dead and gone
your path back erased
a failed insurrection

And above the war rages on and on
to the fright of those who hear
for the sheep were made to be kept under veil
but somethings are too obvious to be ignored
and the dead can tell no tales
for only the dead are wise, but not all dead are knowing
this end is truly the end

Fly to safety sheep
