Well my daddy said son you'll have fun when your drinking with your friends
And everyone takes for granted that these are the best years of your life
High school sure seemed like a joke but when I got to college I was on my own
Trying to find the best drink specials every night
After many nights with the San Marcos federals
I finally figured out that I should probably keep my mouth shut instead of telling them what I thought
Cause see I paid the county for many months
Hell I think I even paid their Christmases bonuses once
And that's how I learned what student loans were all about

Well I decided to major in country music
That's when I found out that I couldn't use the 3- hours I managed to log last year
Anthropology it seemed pretty cool to me but it wasn't included in my degree

And fraternity life it was a change of pace and it taught me how to get shit-faced
