Tono:
Am F She kept on getting weaker, As day dragged into day,
Am The doctors gave no hope for her,
F She seemed to fade away,
G My hours were filled with constant
Am dread. Time became a knife,
F E But slowly and relentlessly, cut
Am the chord of life
Am There was a teacher in the region
F then, Some of us had heard,
Am F That he healed a paralytic, By the power of just his word,
G Am So with hope again rekindled, I went at once to see,
F E If I could find a man named
Am Jesus, From a town in Galilee [Verse 2]
Am F I began to search the city, Soon I saw the crowd,
Am They were pressing in to touch
F him, And they called his name out loud,
G But with the strength of
Am desperation, I pushed them all aside,
G Am I threw myself before him, And from my knees I cried,
Am Lord come and heal my daughter,
F Even now she's close to death,
Am F Her fever's uncontrollable, She fights for every breath,
G Am But God's given you the power Life is your's to give
F E And if you'll just lay your hands
Am on her I know that she'll live
Am G she'll live
F E Am she'll live [Verse 3]

Am F He just begun to go with me, When a face I saw with fear,
Am F Came towards me with the news I knew I didn't want to hear,
G And although I tried to steal
Am myself, I trembled when he said,
F "Why bother the teacher anymore,
E Am your little girl is dead." [Verse 4]
Am Then Jesus touched my shoulder, And
F he told me not to not to grieve,
Am The trembling stopped when he
F looked at me, and said, "Only believe."
G Am Then he sent the crowds away Except his closest men,
F And they followed right behind us,
E Am As we started off again,
Am But we were still a long ways down
F the road, When I heard the sounds and cries,
Am F of the mourners and musicians, As they strove to dramatize,
G Am My grief they had no business with Beneath their loud disguise
F And my wife just sat their
E Am silently And stared through empty eyes [Verse 5]
Am Then Jesus asked the mourners, "Why
F is it that you weep?,
Am She isn't dead as you suppose, The
F child is just asleep."
G Am It only took a moment, for their wails to turn to jeers!
F E "Who does this man think he is
Am Get him out of here!"
Am "But with authority I've never
F heard, in the lips of any man,
Am He spoke and every sound rolled
F out with the thunder of command,
G Am And in the sudden silence, They all hurried for the door
F Wondering what the reasons were
E Am they'd ever come there for [Verse 6]
Am And then he called his 3
F disciples, That were with him on the way,
Am He led them and my wife and me, To
F where our daughter lay
G Am He took her by the hand, he told her, "Child arise."
F And the words were barely spoken,
E Am when she opened up her eyes,
Am She rose and walked across the
F room and stood there at our sides
Am My wife knelt down and held her
F close, And at last she really cried
G Am And then Jesus told us both to see our daughter have some food
F But as to how her life was saved
E Am Not to speak a word [Otro]
Am G Not to speak a word
