Chrysalis Or Butterfly

It was a windy day, I walked a different way
And the strong wind it kept swirling my hair
There in the alleyway just like a bird astray
I saw a plastic bag whirl in the air

I guess I'm not the only one
Who's always reaching for the sun

And so I know why
Every day will go by
Still I'll be standing here
I'll be trying, denying
You won't see me flying
And my wings will make my fear disappear

It was a quiet night the air was feeling tight
When I looked up there was nobody around
And like a fallen kite there off to my right
There was that plastic bag lying on that ground

I guess I'm not the only one
Who's heart has fallen from the sun
