7 am breaks up the dreaming
Alarm clocks will ring and millions of people will be wishing they were sleeping
They'll pour their coffee and they couldn't tell you why but it's just what they do without thinking
And they'll sit spaced out, heads full of doubt, hope's already shrinking

Broken hearts put on brave faces and fight the front door
Empty bodies float down the streets and wash up on the shore
Lost souls are everywhere, and though I can't be sure
