Well Of Emptiness

You think you are forgiven
But that's not reality
Can't see past yourself
And see what's meant to be

Your life is so empty
Emotions are barren and rare
Compromise is deadly
When you're gasping for air

I can't go there anymore
It's not a place I want to be
So many wishes
That have cost me dearly

Why can't I drink
From this well of despair
Can it be that same well
Is my lair

If that's true it's time to move
And I don't have one thing to lose
