I've met a million people in my life
And they all had something to say

A man comes up to me and he says he used to play guitar
Back in his day
I said: Sir, can you please quiet down? You're in my way
Then a woman stops me as I'm walking, and she stops me right in my place
She says: Elias, I'm such a big fan
I said: Of course you are, now get out of my face

Because everyone thinks they're so special

A little kid tells me that because of me he started playing guitar
I said: That's obvious kiddo, but don't forget this next part, okay?
Elias is a star!
No matter what I do

It's like more people love me every single day

And that got me thinking
Maybe I was wrong
Maybe I misjudged them
And then I remembered
