I must of broke the record
For the times that I let her
Break my heart like a record

But it’s hard not to love her
Because she’s my mother
And if you knew her
She’d break you apart in a record

And I could make a list
Of the times I fell for it
She’d chase me down
Till I’d come around

Then she’d flash her million dollar smile

To no surprise
She’d run off and break the record

She was beautifully broken
A glimmering token
Dragged us into her circles
Spitting fire when she spoke and

She threw her family out
Wishing us all good life
Mama where’s the warmth
