Broken

I exist in darkness,
at work in a cold and gloomy mine
Yet I secretly wonder what beyond this purgatory lies
Do I have a choice?
Can I break the sacred law and walk away?
What secrets lie beyond the wall of fire that is I

I am broken;
dying alone at the end of time
with nothing but desire to fill the night

I rip open my sown shut mouth and eyes
and I see lies
So I speak: I shall seek the truth

Broken in eternal night
Broken is my surreal life
Broken by the written lies
Broken till the end of time
