In God I Trust

I was sitting here thinking bout life
When the teachers used to call us naughty
They didn’t think I could change
But look at how far that the Lord has brought me
I can’t blame anybody but myself
'Cause my dad took time and taught me
Yeah, and I was doing some rebellious things
I thought that no one caught me
The whole time God was watching, clocking
Imagine me being outside living so reckless
I thought I was popping
Look God I'm sorry, I really took advantage of your mercy
And through all of this you protected me
Even when the devil try curse me
Stepped in to my purpose now I gotta walk real sturdy
Tryna make it to heaven where the gates are pearly
Living in paradise certy
The Lord still keeps on blessing me
Even though I know I ain’t worthy
Hold the bible close to me at all times
I don’t care if they think I'm nerdy
Some say this is a lonely road
Of course this is that journey
Gotta focus on the path in front of you
Studying scriptures gotta keep learning
The more closer I get to the Lord
The more I forgive anyone that hurt me
Cause ain’t none of us in this perfect
All got secrets under the surface

What an experience, could’ve been delirious
But here I am chasing my dreams
That grace, that favour, is major
