People Always Leave

With blank eyes i stared at the ocean.
The waves and wind were beckoning.
I take one minute to refresh my mind
My surroundings look so real.
Gone is the heat from the fire
That burned the bridges behind me.
I finally found my place in this world...
I don't exist...

I may be a martyr...
But i am the master of my fate
And the captain of my soul
I will precede as i see fit.
And when the bough breaks
It's time to leave the ship

Little do people know
That when they look at another person
They stand in front of a house
With the lights turned off...?
You can lay your eyes on the cover,
The bright colours on the outside
And catch a glimpse of the objects in the window
But could you construct an image
Of its infrastructure?

We all saw how the tulips lost their leaves
And we each abandoned a tear deep within the soil.
We chased ourselves in circles
Hoping to lay our eyes
On the halos surrounding our heads...

Save it for another day
