The Descent Into Hades

Fate decree
That all the land shall be
Divided into three
Partitioned equally
Zeus will take the air
Poseidon take the sea
And Hades take the underworld
To rule beside his queen Persephone
Eternally

Heracles
A warrior and slave
A sinner and a killer
Whose sins must be repaid
In the eyes of the gods
Must fulfill his final rite
And travel to the Eleusinian
Who will take him to the afterlife

To cross the River Styx
An obelus for toll
To reach the seven gates
Outside of the abode of the dead
This place is not a place for those
Who seek not to be damned
The souls in purgatory
Live forever die forever

On we march
Through death we march
To hell and back
To claim the beast
That guards the gates of Hades
Fight it drag it back
Redeem the sins of Heracles

An epic adventure a journey by sea
Black sails of Odysseus' fleet
Take me to Ithaca
Take me away from this desolate place
Upon his return
A ram will be slain
Obsidian sacrifice
Beckon the souls of the dead
To hell I descend

Epic descent into Hades
Fall Into Hell

Curse of the serpent Eurydice dies
Taken forsaken the deity cries
A symphony forged on the blood of the slain
A sonnet of misery power and pain
Power and Pain

Ghosts of the dead appear in your sight
Tormenting relentlessly into the night
An evil enforcer
A victim of merciless anger
An angel of fear

A river of hate, a mountain of fire
Immortal desire burning your soul
Assuming control

Eyes are burning world is turning
Hades calling demons crawling
Out of a crack in the sky
Straight to the bottom of hell

On we march
Through death we march
To hell we march
The end is near
