Dealing with all these choices in front of me
alternatives to choose from, the life I'm gonna lead
Where I'm going, what I'm doing, the panic hits
Will I find out later that I'm not cut out for it
I remember when decisions were made for me
Now I'm in the real world, now it's up to me
Abandoned, all alone, time to decide
If I'm going to deal with your strife

The time has come to
put up or shut up
Make way now, or give in give up

Adulthood hits you hard, it's gone too far
Wishing you were young again when life wasn't this hard
All you had was school and everything was free
Your parents supplied you with everything that you ever need
back now to the real, face another day
Kids are crying because their hungry, bills you haven't paid
unemployment checks, can't catch a break
no grip on your future and your past can't be replaced
