She woke kissing gypsies
Passed us lying in the half-light
She walked on, her nightfall long gone
I couldn't tell if she was singing or crying

My makeshift sheets whispered as i rose
She glowed ahead
Creeping towards her secretly
I thought she wouldn't see me crouching
Scared and red i turned to run
She only smiled and opened up her arms

In the heat of the afternoon,
In the sun
Then stars come out
The night falls, cold
And we run

Sleep brings dreams
Dreams bring light
