About how his life used to be
He told me about the blues
And its place on history
He was trying a long distance call
From a very distant place
Away from home for days
Singing the blues for some new mates

He was surrounded by grace
Looking at angels playing in the sea
I saw a bluesman on the beach
And that’s something hard to see
