Keep It Close

Let's drive past the weary travelers.
(The ones sound asleep at the wheel)
I'll feel more at ease when they drift
out of sight.
Angel, I'm missing you...
Summerland is beautiful and painted bright
before me, yet it seems so distant and apart.

I told you in my dreams that the distance
is time, and I left you my heart for the
remaining.
Please keep it close, and share it with yours.
When I return, I'm bringing you the rest.

Morning lifts the sun up over palm trees.
So lovely and warm, it will be my light
for the next seven days.
Such a nice feeling, and a delight in the
company of old friends.
But to you angel, nothing compares.
