We had our hippest time
when it was unhip to be hip
we've quit things
when it was expensive to quit
we did the right things when the time and place were wrong
we've written a nice one
but never released that song

but in our lives and that«s for sure
nothing can be forseen or is static
and as far as i can see this car is no automatic

cause we're born to slide away
you can see us stumble and fall day by day

Don't get me wrong
i think we've loved the fruits of success
but we«ve never really learned the way to play this buisiness chess
oh how often i doubted
that the way is our true destination
