When Innocence Dies

In what once was a peaceful village
A young man cried out to the ashen sky
He, a simple peasant, and some raven high
The only survivors of a brutal pillage

The vision he got when returning home
His town in ashes, all inhabitants dead
Tears coloured his soft eyes all red
No comfort for he who's left alone

The sight of his beloved wife, killed
His poor heart broke, forever chilled
