As Dark As Midnight

I used to be of the light
But then it turned out to be a lie
And thus I crave for the dark
And thus the darkness empowers me!
Where sounds of terror enrapture me
Time of the wolves and all you fear
I put my faith in twisted lust
Darkness and witchcraft eternally

But mankind never let me be
Even though inside they fear me
They tried to put their chains on me
Forcing me to embrace their lies!
Walking down the path of shadows
Sleeping on desecration
Unleashed from the lies of heaven
Feeling as dark as midnight

Nothing in my heart but raptures of hate
Vengeance is the only thing in my mind now
In sleeping and in wakefulness I am cursed
How I wish to see you die by my hand!
My crystal ball showed me truths
Things that enlightened my heart and soul
Hate gave me powers beyond my dreams
Blessed redemptions within the flames

Why can’t they practice what they preach?
Why must we bow down to useless stones?
When the true light is in the void
Come and rejoice the end of days!
But as the fire consumed my life
I swore destruction upon rebirth
And with a vengeance I rise again
Infernal destroyer forevermore!
