I am a portrait of pure anxiety
Blurred by emptiness, overflowing false serenity
And I keep hiding all the mess inside of me

I am an old portrait suffocated by anguish
Trying to feel alive with desolation surrounding me

I try so hard to express myself but every word is so heavy
I’m a prisoner inside my own body
There's no way out that I can reach
And I keep carrying all the weight inside of me

I try to find ways to express myself or understand what I feel
But it's hard to think of anything when everything feels so heavy
My mouth just seems to be unable to speak what my soul feels
And how can I pretend to be in peace with this desolation surrounding me?
