Looking back on all this today
Did we do our best and
Were we all that we could be
We could toil all over each circumstance
But oh, I see your finger on the trigger now
Don't they know His word changes things
And don't they know, about the love it brings
The worlds full of ups and downs
But He left us a way around it
All we got to do is call His name

On this we can depend in our courageous
His love is truly no mystery
But oh, can we find a way thru crime and violence
For in statistic state on the news of violence
For in will our children grow will they survive
