Somewhere Headed South

Right outside my window you can watch the freighters pass
Making for the southern seas where the Gulf Stream moves so fast
Disregarding sudden squalls and dogging water spouts.
Down here running the tropic sun going somewhere headed south.

Went down to the outside bars and sat sown in the shade
Kept a nap heal towards the ocean and the merchant mans parade.
Watched them as they followed one by one on out of sight.
And I long to through these Hauser’s off and follow then tonight.

Cause if you stick to long and the tide turns wrong and you’re grounded on the shore.
If you go to fast you can drift right past being heard from any more.
I can’t spend my time wondering as time will soon run out.
If you need me in the mean time I will be somewhere headed south.
