Lying Whispers

There she was brimming with hope
Bright as a flame engulfs
Cause inside, she’s tearing at the seams
Reliving her broken dreams
Lights out is a step away
Can daddy’s gun
Put an end to her pain?

Lying whispers say: It’s better to go away
No more suffering, no pain
(But voices won’t ever say)
There’ll be hell to pay

And there he was, lost in his time
First born of a missing line
Everything he tried didn’t work
Feeling like a repeat failure
No more fight, but I got to do or die
Losing patience and the will to survive
There must be another way
To write this book of my life

(But lying whispers say): Die!
Banished from love, and life
You’re not good enough!
So die! (They say)
You don’t belong! Just die!
But don’t believe the lies!
Does it make you wonder
Where the ‘whispers’ come from?
Do you wonder why
They seem to want you dead?
I know what can make you free
Surrender to the God almighty
Who says to you: Choose life!

Why do you wait to choose life?
Get out from the lies, choose life!
Forever’s the price, so don’t die!
Got a lot to lose! Got a road to choose!
There’s so much to do, choose life!
Joy is in the truth, it’s a gift of life
