Sometimes I ask myself
What do all these dreams mean
I could chain myself to the ground still
Find myself in the sea

Talking to friends don’t help
All say the same damn thing
Idle minds become a playground
And I'm playing hide n seek

Thoughts illuminating my head
Even the stars in the sky would confess
There ain’t enough hours or words to make sense
Of
What’s going on in my bed

If I don’t let go
Then the Sun will never
Come up gotta get myself together

When I close my eyes hope that I’ll remember
The night goes on it won’t last forever

Sometimes I pinch myself when I'm having one of those days
Ain’t no way that lightning struck me twice but
Find that I'm wide awake
Walking a long road yeah
Might find a place to stay yeah
I could gentrify my heart tonight but
The foundation’s still the same
