How is time to be measured?
In blood or in tears?
Life was given in october
Yet passed away in june

How is life to be valued?
By achievements or by fears?
Will I be a monster?
Or valued by my tears?

I rave
at the end
of the universe
in a dream

I am torn
from my time
into the void
visions fade

Timeless fears -- fears I see
Father come -- come hold me

I see my life unfold from above
I feel my decay, my disdain, all hope lost
I fall, I dream

Will I be forgotten
or revered by my heirs?
Was it ever there?
The star whose light shines no more?
