Far Away Cranes

Timed it with the pulse
Coming up again
The time you knew you couldn’t shake it
Still rest to watch it now,
Still chest, and it comes out
This is the sound you couldn’t save

From far away, cranes look like carnival games

We’ve been behind, been inside
Wanted for nothing but the cold
We let it go, it would come back,
Waited but nothing ever came
