Astral Slide

it's only when the day gets like this
i can think straight
looking at the orange light breaking
the many faces of glass

to see it fall and not burn the ground
am i alone
to think our minds could never reach
to understand

i wish i could set it down
through words i only hint
at what it all could be
although the mystery light
diverges with thought
and thought is vision
and vision is light

the planes of being should merge
i'm tired of sliding
between what could and what could not
and what should

the space sound takes
between walls is the only
manner which i've learned
to speak within human reach
of telling each other what we think
