The neon signs burn weak and thin
Through broken glass where rats begin
Your plastic smiles, your hollow gaze
Dissolve like pills in vodka haze

The more I learn, the less I trust
Your love just crumbles into dust
But teeth that bite and claws that scratch
Stay truer than your fleeting act

I fight for veins that pulse sincere
For whiskers twitch in midnight ears
