Merits

Today, I dedicate the day
To those who live without fear
Without hate, with love
Is there someone like that?
So perfect, owner of himself
Master of his own life?
Hope so

Yesterday, and all the days that are gone
I dedicate to those who have died
From hate, fear, lack of love
Is there anyone who doesn't die like that?
Scared, sick, abandoned (forsaken)
Hope so

Now the tomorrow and everyday yet to come
I dedicate to all who still fight against death
(Who still struggles with death)
The one we see everyday (the death)
That separates and takes away those we love

Blessed are those who fight for those
Who still live among us
And cry for those who have left
