Falling Down a Well

That was all I ever knew of life
And to decide was to deny
Haunt the path in front of me
A beast inside my mind
But holiness was waiting on the hill

Who will decide how we should light the cave
How many words will we engrave
Find the will to find the way to read the words aloud
Painted like a crime across the sky

Too many times the list was thrown to fire
And left to burn
