Falling Down

Every day I wake and rise up on my feet again,
just to find myself falling down on the floor.
I try to understand the reason why I act this way,
only knowing that I seem to do it more and more.
How many times will I find myself falling down, falling down again?
No matter how I try, I find myself in sin again,
the very thing I thought I had escaped the day before.
Here I am again before you with the same request,
Lord release me from this burden of my sinfulness.
How many times must I find myself here falling down, falling down?
How many times, how many times will I hear your voice?
How many times will I choose to ignore it?
How many times, how many times will I walk this way?
How many times will I stumble and fall?
How many times, how many times will I call your name?
How many times will I fail You Lord?
How many times will I find myself falling down, falling down again?
How many times must I find myself here falling down, falling down?
