I used to think that love was like the stories
A princess feeling lonely
Trapped inside a tower
So desperate that she put herself in danger
Made saviors out of strangers
And gave 'em all the power

But then you made me wonder
Where's the horse? Where's the armor?
Tell me, how come there's no dragons in these halls?

I thought I had to die for you to love me
Thought that peace could only come from war
Thought I had to break down to be found
That it could only work if it hurts
Thought I had to set myself on fire
If I ever wanted to be warm
But you give me a slow burn

So used to leaving teardrops on the pages
Watching battles rage and
Writing it all off
Well, you're touching me and suddenly it's easy
I'm not even bleeding
But I believe it all

Where's the climax of this novel?
Tell me, how come there's no crisis love can solve?
