It seems to me that nothing's made to last
All in it's time, becomes a thing of the past
A restless dream
Of things that could be
Urges us on, until we can see
Into tomorrows world

And as we reach to make it ours
It disappears with it's elusive powers
But shadows reveal, where light's comin from
Don't stay in the dark, move into the sun
In tomorrows world

Perhaps it's the best, to let the past be past
And not to cling to things that couldn't last
Out security lies in who we are
And not the things that are under our power
In tomorrows world

A thousand ways to try and satisfy
A thousand times we have to say goodbye
So when jack says to jill: I do, I will
He needs to know that he'll love her still
In tomorrows world

There must be something we can build upon
There must be someone, who goes on and on
Unchanged by time and all that has been
Who sees all things and things unseen
