Deep in the dark
I felt the fire flicker
Ignite the flame and give us life
My cursed mark
And hollow heart grow sicker
Out of the shadow cometh light

Break the fog, dark and light

Life and death, black and white
Warmth and cold, wrong and right
Bliss and pain, health and blight
I feel disparity preparing me to die

I was told I must rekindle embers when they dwindle
But it wasn't darkness that marked us with this symbol
It was Gwyn-Lord of Cinder, he's the Tinder in the Kiln
Destined me to be undead - least I got an iron will
His infernal Age of Fire's not eternal
Until the flame is out I'll bear the cursed burning circle
I descended from a furtive pygmy - yet you'd never know it
Cuz I'm crossing swords with all
The Lords and leaving each one Soulless
But it took time until I'd learned, that if I'd like to be wiser
Well then I might need to die

First, and then I'll be twice the fighter
Lightin' fires, climbin' spires, summon up some knights for hire
The divide between humanity and I is even wider
But I won't stop at any cost, I've forgotten all that I've lost
As I conquer impossible odds, even topple the strongest of gods
And the consequence of resurrection barely feel alive
