I've given up on finding support here
We must fend for ourselves this year
She said get yourself a social life
And was thinking just don't make it mine
I thought fine
And i picked up a magazine
Turned to the lonely hearts
But they're not lonely enough, it seems
At least not for me
I've been giving to charity in the street
Cos i hoped i'd meet a nice collector
Even dabbled with the krishnas
Though it's too much trouble to learn their scriptures

I've been sitting in the town square
Well somebody might come along
Reading a book to show that i'm sensitive
I must be doing something wrong
