Once upon a time there was a lonely young king
men were sent out to find a bride for him
they brought him pretty daughters from uptown
with heads big enough to wear the crown
but the king was already lost
and so was the crown
'cause he had tasted simple love downtown

Downtown, he found a deeper love
the king is abandoning the crown
Downtown he found a simple love
