Days Have Been

Years have gone and days have been
we’ve had our history
but never did i ever think
we could come to this
this unexpected change for us
has taken me by surprise
and now i say
“I welcome whatever comes
you’ve touched my heart in a friendly way”
what more can I say

I’ve tried my best to be your friend
like we used to be
but as things changed
i’ve come to find
that’s not enough for me
my doubtful heart is heavy
and I’m feeling torn
but I say

Simple things can complicate
that i know for sure
so how can we find a way
and carefully go on
let’s take our time and see what comes
