I was born where the corn grows tall
Dust on my boots and the bluest sky
Mom sang hymns on the porch at night
Daddy taught me wrong from right

We rode the tractor until the end of the day
Fishing in the creek when we needed fun
Old dirt road, that's where I play
And I thank the Lord for every day
