I lost my best friend out on the sea
Deadly waves took her and left me to grieve
I had a brother the bravest there was
The battle field left me alone with my loss

I left my mother alone for a month
Came back to silence where she was once

While fighting for freedom was shot by the king

Red green and black are the books on my shelf
