Has it always been this way inside this room?
No windows to let in the sunlight
This boy is trying to face the outside world, but then he hides

I know he's paranoid
Will he make his way out someday?
This boy spends hours trying to sleep
Pacing around inside his head, questions every word he thinks of
This boy spends hours behind a screen flying airplanes on computer games
Or so he says

Down under I'm like him too
The outlaws of social trends

He always seems to hide away
When you call, expect to hear the phone keep ringing
Keeps it inside, all of his pain
And he seems so lonely
But will he step out someday?
