I was not reluctant to expect change and comfort to carry me here,
But I feel like I'm above this, making sense of the mundane
Conceding to the notion that we are here to mold this
Miserable form of an existence, I'm hoping that we can forfeit
the lies like pain, our demise, and I'm waiting for a breakthrough
Cause it could be that everyone around me thinks the same thing and we're hopelessly amused

My mind is tied up looking for a reason
But half the time, I can't even believe it
It's taken such a toll on all my feelings
I know that one day I will finally see it
before me, through open eyes (repeat)
