    Envision yourself sitting on
    The shores of a vast ocean
    Watch the waves as they roll towards you
    See how easily they fade away
    Watch the clouds as the drift towards you
    See how beautifully they fade away
    As you breathe, feel how easily the air fills your lungs
    Feel how gently it fades away

    As you peacefully sit by the shore mentally
    Grab the notebook and pen from your bag
    Open the notebook to a blank page
    And mentally begin to write
    List all of the
    Things that are the source of your pain and agony

    Write of the things that have brought you hurt
    Write of the things that have brought you shame
    Write of the things that have brought you pain

    Release the pain onto the pages
    Allow peace to rise and replace it

    Now, gently lift your head and watch
    The waves as they roll towards you
    See how easily they fade away
    Mentally lift yourself up, and with your
    Notebook in hand, walk towards the ocean
    Now, gently rip out the page of pain
    And fold it into the shape of a boat
    On the side of the boat, write in small letters
    I have let you go
    I have let you go

    Walk more towards the ocean
    Feel the water at your feet
    Continue to walk
    Feel the water
    At your shins
    At your knees
    At your thighs

    Now place the boat into the ocean
    Let that waves capture it as they rise
