My knees are all banged up
My shoes are soaking wet
Cold mud dries on my cheek
The wind speaks just to me

The sun is going down
I won't go inside
Somewhere lamps go on
Head ligths pass me by
Closer closer closer

Night begains to fall
Pick me up and hold me
I'll let you take me home
Night time in the backyard
Shadows in the trees
Darkness behind the steps
