I've been feeling low for way too long
Like a broken record hums the same old song
Got shadows in my mind where light once gleamed
Lost in a maze of dreamless dreams

I walk the city's streets all ghosted grey
Searching for a color in the day
The rain keeps falling but it doesn't cleanse
Just adds to the weight of blurry lens

A hidden ember burning clear and rare
A twist of fate or a friendly hand
Can lift my spirit help me stand

In the mirror see a face I hardly know
A stranger wearing my old glow
Tired eyes behind a flimsy mask
Caught in a spell I need to break at last
