I cannot love you
when I remember your lies.
I cannot look at you
especially not into your eyes.
I cannot get near you
when I remember your hate.
I cannot get close to you
because now it's too late.
I cannot fall for you again
when I remember the pain.
I cannot allow destiny
to drive me insane.

I must stop lying to myself
when I already know why
I cannot love you,
even if the truth is denied.
Even though I love you
you do not love me in return.
Although I want to see you
the truth my heart has learned.

That's why I cannot love you
because now you are gone.
No longer can I hold you
because from our love you've withdrawn.
