Mental Fortress

Inside this hole, filled with nothingness
Where darkness holds overhand of light
Here I dwell on my own, all alone
I'm stuck with this coldness of ice

I'm trembling with fear

Thenceforth I've been waiting for salvation
To feel the warmth of the rising Sun
These walls around gave me dread
They kept me down, out of reach inside
Just before the evening sky's last breeze
Laid a linen sheet around my eyes
