The Mask & The Raven

The Mask felt a new kind of pride
Opening up against all his doubts
A brand - new moon was to shine
Onto his new galaxy on his mind

So the Mask talked to the trees
And the leaves answered him:
" You'll surely need that pride
later on"

The grocer recognised him
And said " Master what's mine -
That is yours"
The saddler did invite him
For a break - for a meal - for a night
" My daughter" he said

Cover your face beyond your hood
Hide your leg that's made of wood
The gamblers steel their presence
To please their king with absence
The Mask refused to stay
Knowing there will come a day
For feasting and for laughter -
- more honestly hereafter

Air -play - cling to the moment
A weary mind and its defeat
